An alternative way of seeing the country - the Motorhome/Campervan
With the outstanding scenery and wildlife that epitomises Australia, perhaps a motorhome (or campervan) is the option for you.
From a 2 berth compact all the way through to a 6 berth super tourer there is something to suit everyone, and with all bedding and cooking utensils provided all you need to do is jump in and drive. Do bear in mind that anyone hiring a campervan must wait until the day after a long haul flight to take the keys. This is for obvious safety reasons. So the advice is to check the flight times and also book a hotel for the first night.

For those wishing to explore Australia, or at least a part of it, there can be no better way of experiencing a country. Of course it doesn't suit everyone, so the option of a hotel in the city or surrounding areas and perhaps a car hire in Melbourne are also available.
